VestaFide handles names, phone numbers, schedules, and behavioral signals across thousands of shift workers. We have a clear obligation to protect that data, use it only for its stated purpose, and give you real control over what we hold. This policy explains exactly what we collect, how we use it, and what your rights are.
VestaFide, Inc. ("VestaFide," "we," "us," or "our"), a subsidiary of CrossroadsAutomation.ai, operates the VestaFide platform. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
Account Information
Name, email address, phone number, and password. For employer accounts: business name, location, and industry. For gig workers: skills, availability, geographic radius, and rate expectations.
Employment Data
Employers provide information about their employees — names, phone numbers, emails, job titles, skills, certifications, shift schedules, and availability. This data is governed by the employer's relationship with their staff.
Platform Activity
Shift offer events (sent, accepted, declined, timed out), attendance records, schedule data, ratings, bonus transactions, and SMS notification interaction data (delivery status, response timestamps).
Behavioral Signals
The Platform computes EWMA-based signals from your activity: acceptance rate, reliability score, fairness score, trust score, and inferred shift-type preferences. Used to improve recommendations — never sold to third parties.
Background Check Data
For marketplace gig workers, we may facilitate a background check through a third-party provider. We receive only the pass/fail result — not the detailed report contents.
Device & Usage Data
IP address, browser type, OS, device identifiers, pages visited, features used, timestamps, and referring URLs. Collected automatically when you use the Platform.
We use the information we collect to operate and improve the Platform — including to match employees to shift coverage opportunities, compute behavioral signals, generate candidate rankings, price bonus suggestions, produce schedule drafts, send shift offers and operational alerts, facilitate background checks, generate manager dashboards, detect anomalies, maintain audit logs, and respond to support requests.
With Employers and Workers. When you participate in the talent marketplace, limited information is shared with the other party. Employers see a candidate's name, trust score, relevant skills, and show-up rate. Workers see the employer name, shift details, and compensation. Detailed signal data is not shared with other users.
With Service Providers. We share information with Twilio (SMS delivery), SendGrid (email delivery), Stripe (payment processing), background check providers, and hosting providers. These providers are contractually bound to use your data only for services rendered to us.
For Legal Compliance. We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
Business Transfers. In the event of a merger or acquisition, your personal information may be transferred. We will notify you of any such change.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with advertisers.
The VestaFide learning engine computes behavioral signals from your Platform activity. These signals are stored as running statistical estimates — not as a ledger of individual events. Each signal type is stored as a single row per person, containing the current EWMA estimate, variance, sample count, and timestamp. The database does not grow with the number of events — it reflects your current behavioral profile.
These signals are used internally for candidate ranking, bonus pricing, fairness balancing, and schedule optimization. They are not used for credit scoring, insurance underwriting, or employment decisions outside the Platform. You may request a summary of your behavioral signals at any time by contacting [email protected].
Data Retention. We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, personal information is deleted or anonymized within 90 days. Behavioral signals associated with deleted accounts are anonymized — they are disassociated from your identity. Audit log entries are retained for a minimum of seven years for compliance purposes.
You have meaningful control over your personal information on VestaFide.
Access & Correction
You may access and update your account information at any time through the Platform. To request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, contact [email protected].
Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and personal information by contacting [email protected]. Requests are processed within 90 days, subject to legal retention requirements.
Communication Preferences
You may opt out of non-essential emails using the unsubscribe link in any email. You may not opt out of transactional messages related to active shift offers or account security, as these are necessary for Platform operation.
SMS Opt-Out
Reply STOP to any SMS to opt out immediately. You can also toggle SMS notifications in your employee profile at any time. Note that opting out of SMS will limit your ability to receive shift offers via text.
California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights — including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Contact [email protected] to exercise your rights.
Children's Privacy. The Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have, we will delete it promptly.
Third-Party Links. The Platform may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing them with your information.
International Users. The Platform is operated from the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Changes to This Policy. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy with a new effective date and, where appropriate, by email.
